Which Qi Men method does this calculator use?
Shi Jia rotating plate (时家转盘), Chai Bu method (拆补法), calculated to the exact solar-term transition. The upper, middle, or lower Yuan is set from the Jia/Ji Fu Tou (甲/己符头); the hour pillar determines the Xun head. Tian Qin (天禽) is hosted in Kun and rotates with Tian Rui (天芮). The Chief Star follows the hour stem, while the Chief Door follows the hour palace. The late Zi hour from 23:00 to 23:59 does not advance the day. Local civil time is used by default, with optional true solar time correction.
